We've finally gotten the invite to travel to our daughter's home country to pick her up and start the process to get her home to stay! This has been a long, stressful, but fun process (fun when we finally met her!) and we thank everyone that's donated to us and to her.

The court in our daugther’s home country has approved our adoption! Just a bit of last minute red tape to get through before we’re given travel dates to take her home.Thank you all so much for your help, lets keep this going until she’s home at last.

Quick update: our court date has been set in her home country. Unfortunately we are not allowed to attend court and must wait up to 3-6 weeks afterwards before we learn of the ruling. Hopefully it will be news that we’ll be invited to return to her country for the pick up trip.

Our visit to our daughter’s country went great, it’s a lovely place to visit, and the people are friendly. The food was fresh, local, and delicious. Our daughter is awesome, she has a ton of potential but needs time and care to fulfill that potential that her current carers simply cannot provide while caring for half-a-dozen or so other children with their own needs. We have submitted our dossier to our agency, they will forward it to their representative in our little girl’s home country to translate and present to her government. Sometime early next year we will be invited to visit to meet her for the first time. Unfortunately we can only sign paperwork and return home without her. Once the courts review the application, then we will be called back to pic...
