The country I'm adopting from is a 2 visit country. After the first visit you sign the official consent paperwork and then file the i800. Our first visit was completed via video conference last month and our i800 paperwork has been sent to USCIS. We don't know when we are traveling quite yet, we still need to wait for the final paperwork to be processed with USCIS, but I am told it can be anywhere between 1 month and 5 months. I hope it's closer to 1!! Since my little boy has severe and time sensitive special needs our case is expedited, so we are hoping we can bring them home by this summer.
