Thanks to everyone who has donated so far! We have paid our first substantial fee to get our homestudy underway. Initial paperwork has been filled out & we have scheduled 3 full-day classes that are required for the program. We got a giant packet of forms to sign, a book to read about Colombian culture, took two online courses in child safety, & have been tasked with getting physicals done for each member in our family with a doctor's note confirming we're healthy! On Friday we went and got fingerprinted for our background checks. It was a little overwhelming but I think we are on track to complete our home study after our final class in mid-May! Each stack of paperwork we submit feels like an achievement. Excited to be moving the process forward. Woohoo!
