Moventer Christine is the third born in a family of four siblings. Her mother struggles to make ends meet and to provide food for her family. They live in a single room rental tin house with no furniture except for a mat on the floor.

Moventer Christine was born on 23rd May 2017. She is privileged to join CGA pre-primary one in January 2024. She is the third born in a family of four siblings. Moventer lives with her sick mother who is on daily medication. Following an abusive relationship, her father destroyed their house completely throwing her mother and her siblings out. The father remarried and doesn’t offer support. The mother struggles a lot to make ends meet daily and is employed at a roadside food kiosk which helps her take care of her children from the meagre income she receives. Sometimes Moventer and her siblings go to bed without food when the mother lacks income to buy food completely. Moventer and her elder sister Latacia joined CGA in January 2024. They will be able to get at least two meals per day and this will indeed be a great relief to their mother. They live in a single-room rental tin house, with no furniture except for a mat on the floor that they all share at night and very limited utensils. They get water from the lake a few meters away and use it without treatment because they cannot afford to buy treatment. They use charcoal for cooking and electricity or solar for lighting. They share toilet with many other family tenants living in the compound.
