Gift is the second of four siblings. His parents separated four years ago leaving Gift and his siblings under the care of his mother who is on daily medication. They live in a tin house with a cemented floor about an hour's walk to CGA.

Gift Christopher was born on 7th April 2016. He joined CGA Grade One class in January 2024. He is the second of four siblings. His parents separated four years ago leaving Gift and his siblings under the care of his mother who is on daily medication. His mother supports them by cooking and selling doughnuts within the neighborhood. They live in a tin house with a cemented floor about an hour's walk to CGA and close to the road and shops. They use electricity or solar for lighting and firewood or charcoal for cooking. They collect water from the lake for washing and cooking and treat it to make it safe for drinking. They share a toilet with other families in the compound. Gift sleeps on a bed and a mattress which he shares with other siblings in the family.
