George Onyango lives with his widowed mother and siblings. They live in a permanent house offered to them by a relative about an hour's walk from Christ's Gift Academy. They fetch water from the lake for washing, cooking, and bathing.

George Onyango was born on January 31st, 2014. He joined CGA grade four in January 2024. He previously attended a local private primary school next to his home before joining CGA. He has a younger brother who also attends CGA. Their father was killed in a car accident in mid-2022. He lives with his widowed mother and siblings. The mother supports her family by selling second-hand clothes at a local shopping center. They live in a permanent house offered to them by a relative about an hour's walk from Christ's Gift Academy. They fetch water from the lake for washing, cooking, and bathing and treat the same for drinking. George sleeps on a bed with a mattress under a mosquito net shared with other siblings. George is excited about the opportunity granted to join his younger brother, Sammy at CGA.
