Divan Jack was born on July 6th, 2018. He joined CGA Pre-primary 1 class in January 2024. He had been going to a private primary school a distance from his guardian’s home. Divan lives with his widowed grandmother, his cousin, an elder sister who also attends CGA, and his widowed mother. His grandmother is on daily medication. They live in a two-bedroom permanent house, about a15-minute walk from CGA, and 15 minutes to the nearest shop and road. The grandmother runs a shop and helps run a grinding mill by the CGA gate. They use solar for lighting and cook using charcoal, gas, or firewood in an adjacent kitchen. They depend on tap water or rainwater for drinking, washing, and cooking.
