Bonny Lamech lives with his mother and older brother about an hour’s walk from school. They live in a one room house partitioned with a piece of clothing and with very little furniture. Bonny sleeps on a mat on the floor under a net.

Bonny Lamech was born on February 3rd, 2017. He will join grade 1 in January 2025. He lives with his mother and older brother about one hour’s walk from school. Bonny’s father’s whereabouts is not known. According to the mother, he was born out of wedlock, and she has not been in touch with the father. She supports her two young sons by doing laundry for people in the neighborhood. Sometimes she dries and sells fish to complement her laundry engagements. They live in a one-room rental tin house partitioned with a piece of clothing and with very little furniture. They buy treated water for drinking and fetch lake water for cooking and cleaning. They use solar for lighting and cook with charcoal. Bonny sleeps on a mat spread on the floor under a mosquito net. Bonny did not do very well in his grade 1 entry exam; however, we hope he’ll catch up with the rest of his new classmates.
