Ayantu was born in 2017. She joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2023.

Ayantu Yaqub was in the third group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2023. She was 8 years old when she joined PATH, and she is the youngest of 6 children, living with her 3 of her 5 older sisters. She is ecclectic in school, enjoying studying it all, and she like to run around with her friends when she isn't studying. Her mother, Aliyah Abdurahman, came into the program at 30 with no former education. She is currently making and selling a local staple food, Injera, to support her family, and when she receives business training from PATH, she hopes to expand that business.
