Akun Maliam was born in 2008. She joined the Path International Community Based Care (CBC) Program in 2020.

Maliam currently lives with her mother and six siblings. Maliam is often seen playing a running game with her friends. Her mother says they do most of the kitchen work together. She wants to become a teacher when she grows up. In addition to educational support, the family also receives care, encouragement, training opportunities, emergency assistance, medical access, and the knowledge that they are no longer alone.
