So many things can keep an Iraqi child from the lifesaving surgery they need—don’t let medical supplies be one of them.

Necessary supplies to mend hearts such as: heart patches, suture kits, and medicine.

Ahmed was born with a congenital heart defect–the world's most common birth defect.
Many times, surgery is the only solution–but in Iraq, it is usually unaffordable or unavailable. This means tens of thousands of Iraq children are living with heart defects, getting closer to inoperability or death, and thousands more are born with the same problem.
When Ahmed’s parents heard their son had a shot at getting heart surgery, they didn’t waste any time—they jumped in the car and took off.
But their journey was short-lived.
Before reaching city limits, Ahmed and his parents were in a massive car wreck, and his mom and dad were rushed to the ICU at a nearby hospital.
Unwilling to miss Ahmed’s shot at life, his uncle decided to make the day-long drive himself. So, with nephew in tow he made the trip, not knowing how the parent’s were doing in the ICU.
Ahmed arrived exhausted but in time for surgery, and his heart defects were totally corrected.
Every operation like Ahmed’s requires medical supplies. When facing fallout from war, car wrecks, stress, and broken hearts, the last thing these children need to stand in their way are medical supplies!
For as little as $9 you can provide a packet of stitches, for $56 you can provide a small heart patch, and $280 provides a child with a large heart patch used to close holes in their heart, just like Ahmed's!
