Total Funding Needed:
$200
Fundacion Hermano Miguel is a private non-profit organization in Quito, Ecuador, that serves children with special needs from all over Ecuador and surrounding countries.
The Foundation provides occupational, speech, and physical therapy to children with special needs. However, the country lacks many resources and equipment for individuals with disabilities, including adaptive equipment that would aid in proper handwriting techniques for the children with special needs that go to school.
This project will fund new handwriting tools and adaptive equipment to be sent to the Foundation and used by the many children that the Foundation serves. This equipment will enable the children to more fully participate in classroom activities. The Foundation can also use this handwriting equipment in therapy, as well as demonstrate proper techniques to parents to ensure that there is carryover of learned skills.
