As many of you know, we've prayed for a baby to be welcomed into our family for many years. After struggling over 5 years with infertility, we've d...
Happy Monday, Friends & Family! This week is startin' bright and early .. and it's gonna be busy. We've got many exciting things happening this week. Our social worker is coming to visit our home on Friday, March 11th to do our interviews with us. We each will do a 2 hour, separate interview at our home. After that, we just have a couple little checks to do paperwork wise and then will be just counting down until our home study later this month.
Also, Friday evening is the highly anticipated Wine & Design event! So far we've got 35 people attending.. LOTS of fun, and an awesome group of people coming. Lastly, we're bracing to do TONS of cake balls this weekend for different orders, as well as setting up a table at Don't Buy New (DBN) event in Valley Lee this coming Saturday and Sunday. We're hoping for a sell out!
Speaking of cake balls.. due to their popularity, and our amazing community, we did TWO events yesterday. Daniel worked a Quarter Auction with a local group we're apart of, The Fun Bunch. And I worked at Leonardtown Elementary Schools 1st Annual Vendor Event. The event was from 12-3, and I sold out by 1:15. I was blown away! With that being said, we raised $807 yesterday that got donated directly to this website. We're ready for a repeat, or even bigger number for next week!
With that new donation this week, as well as sales last week and general donations collected via this website, we're now at a total of 78% towards or end goal of $26k! Only a little over $5k more to go, and we know that with the upcoming events and fundraisers.. we'll be there in no time! All thanks to you!
Also, another special shout out to the grandparents to be.. All 3 have helped so much. Between baking cakes, volunteering to help at Wine and Design and painting our nursery furniture, to their financial contributions... We wouldn't be nearly where we are without them. We're so thankful for them.
I think that about wraps up our updates this week.. and make sure to have a sweet tooth this weekend and come visit Mt Olive Farm in Valley Lee! AND sign up for Wine and Design! We've still got plenty of room ;) We can't wait to update you with next weeks update of how our interviews went, how fun wine and design was.. and how successful DBN event was!
Thanks a million. Y'all are the best!
