We took in our LAST LOAD today of 528 cans and bottles. That makes a grand total of 3004 cans and bottles! Thanks to all who donated recyclables or money - we have raised nearly $1000, far surpassing our goal! 6 days left for online donations.

We met and surpassed our goal! Thank you so much to everyone who helped us raise enough funds to cover the cost of a heart surgery for a child in Iraq or Libya! We had another can and bottle collection day today and we will keep collecting throughout September. Let's see how far we can go!

We collected another 533 cans and bottles - our grand total is up to 2479 cans and bottles! And we are only $39 short of our goal! Thanks to everyone who has helped!!

The girls came up with the name for this fundraiser. It came from one of their very favorite activities – listening to the inspiring and entertaining audio stories at Sparkle Stories (http://sparklestories.com/). Their favorite series are those about Martin and Sylvia – brother (7) and sister (5) who have all sorts of adventures. You see, at first, doing this service project was a struggle...

Tonight we donated $70, the proceeds from 1400 cans and bottles collected from 14 families in and around Iowa City! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!
