Join us by bridging the needs of the poor here.
June Freels loved the land, people, and God. Giving here will support women and children in the slums of Kenya this Christmas. Every gift will impact life change.
As a pastor of the Freels family for 17 years in Oxford, OH the Freels asked if we could impact life change in others as she is remembered. Please give here in June Freels memory.
Oasis of Hope's mission is to share God's love with action and our consistent presence. Jacob and Maureen have been serving in the Mathare slums of Nairobi through Oasis of Hope for six years, mostly by themselves. It was in January of 2020 that his friend in South Africa that he grew up with in Mathare decided to take action and connect Oasis of Hope to People Bridge with Brian and Erin Clark.
Jacob grew up there and knows the way of life, the isolation, poverty, and the needs. He meets weekly with over 100 children and knows their families. Along with volunteers, they love and serve in this slum area that is being affected in huge ways because of Covid-19.
There is an excitement to this particular fundraiser and nonprofit in Kenya. The potential is MASSIVE! The need is massive, but so much is in place for hundreds of families to be impacted for good and the gospel to be lived out.
During Covid-19 they are providing:
-Over 100 families with much needed food and services of listening and love every week.
-They meet with the families and pray for them and bring hope to children that literally feel like people do not care about them. They share God's love and forgiveness with action.
-Multiple new partnership opportunities are allowing kids to be active and outside and learning during Covid-19.
Jacob and Maureen are gatekeepers in their community. They are known and trusted by the local government officials, churches, and community leaders. They are the only full time nonprofit that is focused on children holistically and meeting that need.
Would you please join us in meeting our $10,000 one time need in 2020 and $600 monthly need by December 31, 2020?! This is not a small goal and we are 20% of the way there.
Thank you in advance for your giving and care to make this happen!
