We received word from the case-worker in Georgia that birth mother had the baby a month ago, and has been leading us all on for the last month or so under the guise of continuing with adoption plan--even as of yesterday. There was some secondary gain involved, with the agency responsibly helping birth mother with some of her expenses. We are disappointed and saddened, most of all because birth mother has been deceiving us, and this grieves our hearts. We do not covet her child, and earnestly desire what is best for her and the child. We were becoming increasingly suspicious as time dragged on, and we temporarily put many things on hold and made other preparations. 

Regarding your generous support: We are so blessed that so many of you gathered beside us in prayer, financial support, baby preparations, and words of encouragement. We still hope to adopt a baby, whether it will end up being the little girl we were preparing for, or another child, only God knows. We will happily, un-begrudgingly, send any of you a check who supported us in this specific adoption, and would like a refund. Absolutely no hard feeling--seriously! We have already surpassed the amount we have raised, just on initial costs, but the financial burden is not as great at this point. The total costs (God-willing we are able to adopt again in the near future), will likely be about the same ball park. All funds donated so far can only go towards adoption--we must prove through financial records/receipts our costs.
