As of this month, we have reached our fundraising goal, debt free (~$50k!)! This is a huge blessing to us that so many of you have been a part of. We are amazed at God's provision for us through all of you. Every time a bill was due there has always been just enough to cover the bill and a little extra to start the next phase. It literally got to the point where I would laugh out loud because I couldn't believe how it kept happening over and over. This has been a huge relief to us to be done fundraising so that we can pull back from working like crazy and rest up and prepare for this huge life change and get some focused time in with the boys. 

The bad news is, we were literally a day away from viewing the file of some kids in need of a home, when we found out there had been a huge miscommunication between the Costa Rica government and our agency. We are NOT approved yet or in the matching phase like we thought 4 months ago. This was incredibly disheartening news. It looks like there are additional paperwork hoops the government wants us to do before they will give us the seal of approval and move us to the matching phase. We would appreciate prayers about this, as we went from thinking we might travel in August, to maybe not traveling this year. A mercy is that we had not viewed the file of the kids yet when we found out this news, although it was still an emotional roller coaster. Now we are praying that we get matched by November so that we do not have to redo all of our paperwork/filing fees come the end of the year (that, by itself, is like a full-time job!).

But back to the good news! I will be closing out this account for the fundraising. Thank you to those of you who donated to make this journey possible.  We are anxiously awaiting meeting our kiddos!
