When we first met Mirielle Ejeune, she was in a tough place. Trying to survive day-to-day she struggled to feed her small children. Her dedication and business savvy led World Wide Village to entrust her with the poultry program.
After several years of raising chickens – and going as far as bringing 200 baby chicks into her house to save them from drowning when the chicken coop flooded! – she has decided that her heart is really in business. “Even my children enjoy pretending that they have a shop in the market when they play,” she said. Mirielle has four children and also cares for two nieces who recently lost their mother.
A $1000 grant could allow Mirielle to set up a successful business in the market, selling clothing and shoes. Will you help?
