Hi there! We are the Wong Family. There are currently five of us in our family {Dad- Jason, Mom-Haidee and energetic brothers Kobe & Keoni and eldest sister Taylor}...
... and we are working hard to bring home our son and daughter, Maya and Micah, currently living in the Philippines.
This path of adoption was placed in our hearts just recently.
Called, to serve the Lord....
"But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15
We have three beautiful blessings and we thought we were done...however, God had other plans for our lives.
God planted a seed in our lives so that we can grow to His plan, not ours.
It all started after our Pastor's sermon this January was to pray BIG prayers. Aside from praying for ourselves and our families, our pastor challenged us to pray BIGGER.

NotesWe learned:
The more we focus on the CHARACTER of God and WHO He is as we pray...we will be MOVED with what MOVES God.
So we began praying to God to reveal to us what we should be praying for. "Father, help us be all who You want us to be and use our lives so that we may glorify You. Please reveal to us where our prayers are needed."
And within a couple of weeks, we were moved by God to help the fatherless.
John 14:18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."
We have decided to adopt a sibling group, a brother and sister, from the Philippines
Right now the only thing standing in our way to move forward is money. We have stepped out in faith and have started the paperwork to host this summer and then adopt after hosting. We were prepared for the costs of one child, but with a sibling group of two, the costs are doubled.
We are doing our best to finance the adoption. We are having garage sales, the children are washing neighbors cars and mowing their lawns, we are having fundraisers, we are cutting our spending to a minimal and applying for grants and loans.
We have had folks ask how they can help us fund our adoption.
We've started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise the funding that we need to make our adoption a success.
We have a donations goal of $5,000 that will go towards the costs of adoption. It's been our dream to help give a child an opportunity like this and we hope that you will consider helping us make our dream a reality.
You may not be called to adopt,
but if God is speaking to your heart,
would you help make a difference in these orphans' lives?
Every donation is important and will help make this adoption a success. Would you kindly consider making a donation of $1? All donations are tax deductible. Also, we would appreciate your willingness to share this with others who may want to participate.
"The state of our heart is more important than the size of our gift."
Thank you so much for being a part of adoption story. We are blessed beyond measure with support and encouragement and are in awe of the willingness of others to link arms with us as we work to change the life of a precious child.
We are grateful for your prayers and if you are moved to help donate, we would be so thankful for any amount you are able to provide. Thank you and God bless you in advance.
Mahalo,
Wong Family
