SuNica is building a community center for the children of a garbage dump community (families there make their living picking through the garbage for recyclables), and they would like Steph to develop all of the educational programming there.
Steph’s literacy work with the Curiosity Circle has been a real inspiration––it’s so simple and smart. And the kids that she would be able serve at the SuNica community center are so under-resourced that she has the potential to change the course of their educational futures. That’s not an exaggeration.
SuNica is working to raise $800/month to create a part-time position for Steph, but if we raise some of that it could make it easier for them to find a match to fund the rest.
