Orphans are not just a result of death of parents. Children become orphans through desperate acts of parents, all over the planet, who want to keep their family together but due to financial constraints or threat of war, give up their kids thinking it's truly for the best. 

Yet unforeseen human trafficking and abuse happens.

It's taken me years to find an organization I believe in that is helping orphans AND preventing orphans when possible.

An organization backed by the likes of Jen Hatmaker.

Help One Now makes sure families can keep their children and grow their families.

How? By helping families stay together and become self-sufficient in their communities, increasing their capacity not just to provide but to thrive on their own with one-time assistance.

Strong families are the foundation of strong communities. Strong families can prevent poverty and orphans by being able to provide for their children vs give them up, fighting trafficking and abuse.

Our goal today is to raise $1000 (or more) in the next 48 hours and $2000 or more in 7 days to help a family jump start to be financially free and keep their family unit tight and strong.

For every $1000 a family gets the jumpstart they need to be financially independent for years to come and stay as a strong family with their kids. Each family only needs the one time donation to succeed.

What does this look like?

Your donation will go to families in Ethiopia. Through situation-specific training, as well as the provision of resources ranging from a milking cow or other farm animals to equipment for small entrepreneurial opportunities like beauty salons or family bakeries, these families are taught how to succeed.

Help One Now's Family Empowerment program enlists local leaders to create lasting change.

By raising $1,000, we can send 1 family through the 7-step family empowerment program.

Last year, 33 families completed the program with a 94% sustainability success rate.
