The Buryats are the largest unreached people group in Siberia. Buryats live in Mongolia (they originated there), China, and Buryatia, a region in southern Siberia, Russia. They are the people of Genghis Khan, who invaded this part of Russia over 800 years ago. The Buryats are a friendly, family-oriented people who truly love to become friends with North Americans! However, they are in a dark, spiritual place...both shamanism and Buddhism keep these dear people desperately lost and in need of Christ. What we are asking God for is a breakthrough! This will begin with a movement of prayer. So, we are looking for "prayerwalkers;" followers of Christ who will come with us, and cry out, "Your Kingdom come!" As God opens doors to share the story of the Bible with "Persons of Peace," we will rely on God's Spirit to direct us. If you are a prayer-warrior, this trip is for YOU.
