Hi! We have been married 17 years and have always wanted children. We tried for many years to get pregnant the "conventional" way, but that didn't seem to be God's plan for us, and yet we always felt we were meant to be parents. We had talked, and prayed, about adoption for many years, but had never felt the timing was right. Then, in April of 2013, we both felt that God was telling us - now!! We met with an adoption advisor and got the process started. We were home study approved by September 2013 and were hoping to have a baby by Christmas. One thing we've learned over the years is, when you are following God's plan, you need to be patient and follow His timing also. We were both getting discouraged, but we felt strongly this was God's plan for our life and we just needed to not give up on God. Then in June of 2014 we found out that a wonderful birth couple had chosen us! We are humbled and amazed by this - and more excited than words can say! Our daughter is due December 17, 2014. I said we were hoping to have a baby by Christmas, I guess I should have specified which Christmas! Through this whole process, and before we even started, we said we couldn't let this be about the money. We realized it would be expensive, but we didn't realize how expensive. We believe God brought us this far and He will carry us through to the end. We believe, as Hebrews 11:1 tells us, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen".
