This past year, the Lord has placed on my heart the importance of being on mission with my spouse. The difficulties of returning home and attempting to summarize the magnificence of Christ moving in my life and in all of those that that we've reached was emotionally exhausting and even frustrating at times. Being away from Darien for weeks at a time I became convicted that, as we are yoked as one through the covenant of marriage, so should our mission. With that being said, I'm very excited that he will be joining me as I return to Cambodia with Freedom's Promise in September 2017.

Freedom's Promise is a non-profit organization that works to prevent human trafficking in Cambodia by providing educational and entrepreneurial opportunities to communities, providing them with new means to support their families, and freeing them from feelings of necessity to traffick the women and children of their families for survival. As a victim of childhood sexual abuse, this specific mission and vulnerable population are so dear to my heart. With the intentions of going on mission to help others, these people have been a part of my own healing process. It is my prayer that the Lord will use me to help other victims find hope in Him for healing and knowing they have worth in the Kingdom of God. Our mission this year will include providing medical clinics to rural communities and working with local schools to meet their construction needs.
