My friends at SuNica have been feeling particularly nostalgic this year.  

Remember that feeling when you were seven? The sound of wood crackling in the fireplace. Hot Chocolate stinging your tongue. The excitement of playing in the yard with your cousins and listening to Grandpa tell stories. And of course, your Christmas wish list — the possibility of receiving the things you want most in the whole world.

SuNica does too, so they wrote out a Christmas wish list of their own, and I'm trying to make one of their wishes come true. And we have the privilege of helping support SuNica's in-country directors Josh and Betty Pease.

If you've spent any time with us recently, you've probably heard us talk about our friends down in Nicaragua. Josh and Betty are two incredibly passionate followers of Jesus who followed the call to live on mission in Nicaragua. Josh is one of those highly relational guys who seems to look through your eyes into your brain and knows what makes you tick. That's what makes him such a great leader.

And Betty, she's like the Wendy to the Lost Boys of Neverland. Together they lead a team of eight other staff on the ground in Nicaragua every day. Their team is responsible for huge efforts like sponsoring 115 kids in two communities for Education & Discipleship and executing full-scale clean water projects.

These projects are evidence that Jesus himself is on a mission to restore things back to the way they once were, and we hope you'll be part of it too.

Josh and Betty's salaries are almost taken care of for 2015, but we need one final push to get them where they need to be to not have to worry about where rent, food, and clothes for their two growing little girls will come from.
