We have BIG news!

WE are growing our family and welcoming a little girl from Haiti!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. We have completed our home study and the great paper chase associated with adoption.  It has taken us 3 months to compile what seems like every important document we own!  After the regular social worker visits, adoption education, doctor's clearances, etc,  we are ready to start the fun phase of waiting for our precious little one to be placed with us!

This process is a long and expensive one but we know it will be worth the wait.  We know this is part of the bigger picture in our family plan.

We have several trips to Haiti in our future that includes our entire family.  We will go for a bonding trip first for 15 days where the kids and Scott and I can bond with our little one, get to know her, be observed by Haitian Social Services as well as more reams of paperwork.  We then sadly will return home and wait some more for clearance for a second trip back- one which will bring her home!  Your prayers and support are absolutely coveted during this time.  Many of you have asked how you could help and there are several ways.  Support and prayers are first and foremost!  Secondly, there will be many relief items we will take with us on each trip.  The orphanages are in such dire need of just basic care items that we would love to bring along.   Obviously, financial support is also a large part of helping us walk this journey.

As part of our adoption process, we have started a funding campaign that directly supports our adoption.  It is a platform that is completely tax deductible and the proceeds only go to the cost associated with our adoption. International adoption related costs can be overwhelming totaling up to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parent.

We are most grateful to have each of you in our lives and look forward to bringing this precious one home to meet you all!  Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey.  We will keep you update often!
