Dear Friends & Family,

This year I am fundraising again on behalf of FOVC, Friends of Orphans and Vulnerable Children, an indigenous, non-profit organization working to support vulnerable children and widows in southern Ethiopia. This organization is close to our hearts, as it cares for children and families in the same region where both Silas & Eva were born.

Last holiday season, you helped me raise money for FOVC's Widows and Livestock Program, which has impacted many families by providing cows, oxen and sheep. Thank you! 

This year, we are focusing on the 450 orphaned and vulnerable children profiled for FOVC's program. Currently, 173 of these children are sponsored. This holiday season we would love to provide not only the sponsored children but all 450 children with a wonderful gift package with a few of life's basic necessities.

Your donation of $20, $30, $40 or more can provide a child with a warm blanket, a comfy mattress, protection against malaria, shoes, a school uniform, school supplies, and hygiene products to stay clean, healthy, and comfortable. A donation of $120 will provide one child with the gift of 'Comfort & Joy', which would include all the items above.

We're excited to be supporting the local economies in Ethiopia by purchasing all these items in the area where the programs are located.

Gift of Comfort

$10 - Mosquito Net - These nets protect the children from malaria.

$20 - Blanket - Many children do not have a blanket or have to share a blanket with their siblings.

$30 - Mattress - Many children sleep on straw mattresses. A soft bed will bring them comfort!

Gift of Joy

$10 - Hygiene Products - Providing simple hygiene products will help keep children healthier.

$20 - Shoes - Shoes are a requirement to attend school. Many children do not own shoes, a gift of shoes will bring joy!

$30 - School Uniform & Supplies - In order to attend school children need a school uniform and school supplies. It brings them great joy to attend school, millions of children in Ethiopia do not attend school, the ones who do know what a privilege it is.
