In partnership with host/sister Adventist institutions: Manila Adventist Medical Center (MAMC), Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP), and Bacolod Adventist Medical Center (BAMC), our multidisciplinary team will collaborate and interact with host institution’s staff to provide healthcare education and assessment to local patients and families — local “Barangay” community members to promote wholeness and the advancement of healthcare capacities.
There will be workshops and lectures on health education to hospital staff and university students. We will collaborate to provide community-based health fairs for children and adults. We will also have a cultural exchange opportunity, clinical observation, interactions with AUP students, and experience international service.
This will be my third mission trip! I am excited to go back to my family's homeland and be able to give back, especially considering we'll be visiting my mom's alma mater! (AUP or formerly PUC). I have been wanting to go on a mission trip to the Philippines for a while and am ready for whatever experience God has in store for me (as each mission trip is a unique experience). Thankfully Loma Linda University is providing me an opportunity to finally achieve this. (Yes, I'm planning to practice my Tagalog! *Fingers crossed*)
I have been fortunate enough to go on two mission trips (Cuba in Summer 2017 and China in Summer 2018) through the generous donations of those who have been supportive of my mission service work. It is quite an eye-opening and humbling experience to be able to serve others throughout different parts of the world. I hope to serve others again and with your and other's help, this dream can be achieved. I am raising money to go on this trip through donations, aiming for $900 by Jan 15, $1,300 by Feb 29 (leap year) and the remainder by Mar 11. Any assistance could be of great help and I would truly appreciate it!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! <3
