So our family has a biggish announcement!! 

We are adopting!

    We have been working on this for a while, since the middle of 2019. It has been on our hearts longer than that, but in 2019 we felt strongly the time was now. Since then we have been preparing so many things, doing paperwork, saving money, working extra jobs, training and many other things to prepare! We have been preapproved to adopt three sisters Angelina, Marge and Rosey from Bulgaria. We just finished our dossier paperwork and are waiting for the approval from immigration in order to submit our dossier for final approval from Bulgaria. Once approved, we will be officially matched. (That means we can complete the adoption paperwork and pick up our kiddos) Yeah!! We felt a strong connection to these girls when we saw their file and kept coming back to it as we prayerfully considered adopting. After a lot of praying and considering together as a family, we knew we should move forward. So here we are in the last stages of the process and getting close to the finish line.

    We are beyond excited and nervous all at the same time. We are hoping everything works out that our girls will be home before next Christmas and hopefully early fall. We have not shared much about this because there are so many hurdles you have to jump over and the process can be long. However, we have made it to this last hurdle. We have felt so blessed and guided through this process and have seen so many miracles that have made this all possible. We know that God is helping and guiding us.

   One family very dear to us gave their Christmas jar for the adoption. They have a very large family and could have certainly used the money themselves, but they wanted to help us.  It was the sweetest gesture and really touched our hearts. We are so thankful for their kindness and others who have helped us too. We have been saving money, working extra jobs and applying for possible grants. The adoption fees are upwards of $41,000. We have been able to raise a lot of the required funds to complete the adoption ourselves. Generously some of our friends have asked if we had an official fundraiser where they could donate to our adoption. So we decided to set up a crowd funding campaign for anyone that would like to help us reach our goal. We are trying to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of the travel expenses for our adoption. We would be so very grateful for any help financially, but even your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated too!
