Serenity & Jackie's Story:

Serenity is a 6yr old little girl who has a Rare Genetic Disorder called Congenital Disorder of Glycloslation type 1a, also known as PMM2-CDG. This Disorder effects brain, heart, liver, kidney and muscles. Serenity has a little Sister named Kaylee with the same disorder! When Relentless came into our lives we had yet to realize how powerful these bonds would be. Our first Relentless we were honored with our own set of lifters who raised over $3000 to donate in honor of Serenity & Kaylee!!! We made a forever bond with these amazing people and the girls were forever changed!!! Then when Kaylee needed help for a boost toward walking the lifters from Relentless came together to help her dreams come true!!! Then came Relentless MN 2016 where Serenity and Kaylee got to see all their wonderful friends!!! They made even more bonds and loved playing with all our Relentless Family!!! At Relentless MN Jackie was asked if she would like to lift in her very first Meet and it was an honor to be asked!!! The answer was YES and after telling Serenity she would be making the trip to Detroit with mommy to watch her lift, Serenity wanted nothing more to Lift Too!!! So She signed up and started raising money for other children with life threatening illnesses!!! Thank-you Everyone for Donating to Our Page!!! We are truly Honored to be apart of this Relentless Family!!! Nothing will stop this Mommy-Daughter Team raise as much as we can!!! :)

Relentless Detroit's mission is to build relationships, change lives and to serve God by uniting strong men and women with even stronger children.

The Relentless Detroit Foundation, in collaboration with Detroit Barbell and Kirby Church, was created to raise money, awareness and support for families with children diagnosed with life threatening illnesses.

Our goal is to not only raise money for these families, but also help strengthen and add to their existing support system.

Additional support for Relentless Detroit comes from Detroit Barbell, Kirby Church, Nubreed Nutrition, Randal Whately, Walmart and other local businesses. Operating costs include, but are not limited to, design and printing of promotional materials including flyers, tickets, t-shirts, etc.

These items are used to promote the event and also sold to raise awareness and additional funds for the families. All man power to plan, coordinate, and operate this event is volunteered. The event venue and equipment used are donated by Detroit Barbell and Kirby Church.
