Our positions with Abba's Pride are based on donations and monthly support. Without you, we would not be able to reach so many people. What I do:

I have joined Abba's Pride in South Africa full-time. I am so excited to be working with Abba's Pride and expectant for all that God will be doing in and through me. I work as the Psychosocial Specialist for Abba's Pride, getting the opportunity to work with our preschools and after school programs, as well as assisting with upcoming future projects. 

I am blessed to be able to work with Abba's Pride and see first hand all that God is doing in the communities we serve. I am thankful God has placed me exactly where He has, and that I have the honor to share His love with so many.

My Background and Heart for South Africa:

I took my first mission trip to South Africa in 2008 and immediately felt at home. God placed a burning on my heart for the country and people. I returned to South Africa in 2010 for a year, working with a children's home and counseling in local schools. The experience changed my life forever. 

I felt called to return to the U.S. to pursue a PhD in International Psychology. I conducted my dissertation research in South African children’s homes in the Johannesburg area, focusing on the mental health and social support of orphaned and abandoned children. During this time, I was also able to visit Abba’s Pride and see first hand the impact it made on children’s lives. Although I yearned to return to South Africa after receiving my doctorate, God had other plans. He led me to join the staff of a church in the D.C. area, directing their children’s ministry. Each weekend, I coordinated hundreds of children and volunteer teachers over multiple services. I know God used this time to prepare me for what He had next.

I came to serve with Abba's Pride from October to December of 2017, expectant for God to make clear His next steps for me. I loved my time, amazed at all Abba's Pride is doing. Over those few months I felt God tugging on my heart, leading me towards full-time missions with Abba's Pride. I was excited to say "yes" to his call.
