Friends and family, I hope you've had a great start to 2018!

Several months ago, I felt God calling me to make a missional move in my life. Young and Purposed, a Christian organization for girls,  at Marcus High School is providing this opportunity. God is calling me to Guatemala to plant seeds for Him to grow in an area that needs to hear His good news. “ Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples,” Psalm 96:3. With your help in fundraising, you can make this next step of mine achievable.

I will be going with a group of high school girls from Marcus from July 23-29, 2018. We will be working together with a network of churches that are starting new churches there. The mission trip is more than just the time spent in South America. The trip will be brought back to Flower Mound by helping us learn how to live missionally at home in our everyday lives.

The team involved in the missional move is more than just us students. We also need your prayers for the spiritual battles ahead and donations to cover travel expenses. The Mayan civilization flourished in Guatemala during the first millennium A.D.. Because of that influence many people in Guatemala consider themselves Mayan first and Guatemalan second. Guatemala is rich in culture and diversity. There are over 23 distinct languages other than Spanish spoken in Guatemala, but Spanish is the primary language.
