We have BIG news!

This summer we had the privilege to host two kiddos (15 y/o and a 10 y/o) from South America. We approached this hosting experience as an opportunity to bring the mission field to our home while we aimed to share God’s word and love with them during their stay. We knew that going into hosting would be a memorable experience. But, we never expected these kids would capture our hearts like they did and as quickly as they did. Taking them back to the airport brought about much sadness and tears. We miss their giggles, our broken English/Spanish conversations, and the friendly banter during games of UNO. These sounds filled our home with so much joy during those weeks. We found out later that they were praying for us to be their forever family. We miss them so much, but the thought of adopting two kids couldn’t be taken lightly either. We needed to know it was a call from the Lord and not our emotions. After much prayer and seeking His will and not ours, peace has flooded our hearts in making the decision to bring these kids into our family. We CHOOSE them like God CHOSE us.

As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more for one child. We were told some of the fees don’t get counted twice with adopting siblings. So, we have set a goal of $65,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We are extremely grateful for your consideration in helping with the financial aspects that will come with trying to adopt two children.  But, MORE  importantly, please keep us in your prayers as we navigate this new journey He has us on. We are excited to see how stepping out in faith will unfold along the way.  We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our children as they grow up.
