In August of 2007, a massive 8.0 magnitude earthquake shook Pisco, Peru.
That one day 37,000 families lost their homes and most of their possessions. More than 500 people lost their lives. It took 4 years to
get clean water back up and running. Even today, 8 years later many
people are still living in small make shift shanties. The goal for this
trip is to give a "cup of cold water" in Jesus name by taking medicine,
glasses and needed supplies to these precious people. We will share the
LIVING WATER with them and do discipleship with those who come to
Christ. The ultimate goal will be to plant small home churches around
the city so that anyone can attend a discovery Bible study. We are
looking for medical professionals and also folks to share the gospel.
Maybe YOU are the one who should go. This trip is being hosted in part by Samford University Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy.
