Trip Cost: $ 2,300

     This summer I am going on my first mission trip! I am super excited to be going to Nicaragua with my youth group at Westside A Jesus Church! We are going to be serving at La Villa Esperanza, a home for at-risk, adolescent girls in Managua, Nicaragua. These girls face the threats of hunger, emotional distress, and sexual attack. By providing for these girls emotionally, spiritually, physically, and relationally, La Villa provides an opportunity for young women to break the cycle of generational poverty that they are often born into.
     This trip is going to be an amazing opportunity to serve God through mission. Having never been out of the U.S., it is also going to be an eye-opening experience for me to see how God is working around the world.
