As a Pastor I am very concerned about children, especially hungry students. I am inspired to create projects that address very powerful issues that are affecting school children in Uganda. My Goal is to raise $7000 by January 2017 to address this issue of hungry and starving students in my region of Uganda. We plan to raise $2,000 dollars over the next 10 months in one time donations and the balance of $5,000 dollars from those of you who will commit to provide monthly support to back this cause over the next 10 months. By the end of the first month of next year we will be well into addressing this issue and providing not only short term, but long term solutions. 

Very few children take a meal before they come to school. This means that pupils leave home hungry; they stay at school hungry, since the school does not provide meals, and only eat in the evening when they go back home. Many families cannot afford to pack for children lunch which is a requirement for the Universal Primary Education (UPE) schools.

We have already provided 1000 kilograms of maize flour and 100 kilograms of sugar to enable pupils have porridge for lunch. Our future plan is to introduce a Community School feeding program in which schools take a lead in producing food for children to eat while at school. Each class grows a different type of food and later the whole school feeds on the different types of food.

That's why I started this fundraiser through our Field Partner Mission Del Caribe 501(c)(3) on Pure Charity. Every penny of this goes to fund projects that provide lunch to pupils in Primary schools in Uganda. I commit personally to provide updates and reports on these powerful projects and I can't wait to even give updates on their progress that show real results and real lives impacted!
