We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you (or not!) to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have opened this site to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

Many people have asked us why adoption? Why now? Here is the short version! I have always known that adoption was one way I wanted to grow my future family. I mentioned this to Matt when we were dating and he was completely on board. It is surreal to think that idea we talked about almost 13 years ago has come to fruition and we could not be more excited it is here! We knew the right time to begin this process would be when all of our biological children were in school and little Hank starts PreK next year!  We know that our family is ready to add a sweet little girl, and we are excited to watch God work through this process.

Things are difficult right now. The situation we are all going through at this time, we never could have imagined when we began this process many months ago. But God has shown us over and over that He is in control of this adoption. We are many months away from bringing our little girl home. We have received so much love and support from our friends and family, and many have asked what they can do to help. Our first response to this is always prayer. Please continue to pray for us as we walk through this process and for our sweet little one in China! While we are waiting and finishing our paperwork, we also need to continue raising funds to pay for the costs associated with international adoption. We hope by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our little girl as she grows up.
