Compassion House is
the only housing program in the state that provides a long term transitional
program for homeless pregnant teens who find themselves in crisis pregnancies.
We work with teens age 19 and under during their pregnancy, and after the baby
is born to provide housing, access to prenatal care, labor coaching,
counseling, case management, life skills, parenting classes, education, and
resources to make sure they can successful long term.
25% of all births in
Arkansas are born to teen moms. Most of these young women do not seek proper
medical care, and do not get any prenatal care until late in their second
trimester.
Being the ONLY facility in
the state to offer these services, means we have long wait lists for girls
needing our services. We receive no government funding, and are completely
reliant on community donations.
We appreciate your support!
