About this Fundraiser

Promoting Community Health, Education, and Wholeness

In collaboration with local healthcare partners in Yerevan, Armenia, Loma Linda University Students for International Mission Service (LLU SIMS) will engage with local communities to promote health, wellness, and wholeness through education, health assessments, and community outreach.

Our interdisciplinary team will work alongside local healthcare providers, community members, patients, and schools to support community health initiatives, increase health awareness, and provide culturally responsive education that addresses the needs of individuals and families. Through meaningful collaboration and service, participants will have the opportunity to learn from local partners, strengthen cross-cultural understanding, and demonstrate LLU’s commitment to whole-person care.

Mission service activities may include:

  • Health Education Workshops: Provide educational sessions on preventive health, wellness, healthy lifestyle practices, and other community-identified health priorities.

  • Health Assessments: Assist with appropriate health screenings and assessments in collaboration with local healthcare professionals.

  • Community-Based Health Fairs: Participate in health fairs alongside local healthcare providers to promote health awareness, prevention, and access to health information.

  • Women’s and Children’s Education Programs: Support educational initiatives focused on women’s health, maternal and child wellness, family health, and preventive care.

  • Community and School Outreach: Engage with local schools and community members through age-appropriate health education and wellness activities.

Through this international mission service experience, LLU students and faculty will have the opportunity to serve alongside local partners, apply their knowledge in a cross-cultural setting, and contribute to sustainable, community-centered health initiatives. Guided by Loma Linda University’s commitment to service and whole-person care, the team will seek to foster meaningful relationships, promote health education, and support the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of the communities served.
