What a whirlwind year it has been! The Lord has taught me so many things, and I am still trying to take them all in. This year has held a move to a new city, starting a new job, and joining a new church. Undergoing so much change has really taught me to TRUST the Lord in everything.
A big part of my learning to trust God has meant being obedient to do things outside of my comfort zone. Until moving to Fort Worth, I have never been confronted with such an awareness of the daily opportunities to share the gospel with the people around me. God has been strengthening my courage to proclaim his excellencies to my friends, coworkers, and strangers.
I am so thankful for God’s faithfulness in giving me opportunities to be a witness every day. However, I have heard God’s call to use my vacation time this year to answer his commission to be a witness to the ends of the earth. In June of 2015 I have been blessed with the privilege of traveling to Assela, Ethiopia as I go on my first mission trip! The villages where we will spend our time near Assela have yet to hear Jesus' name!
As I prepare for the upcoming trip, I would be honored for you to join me in prayer! Please pray for my team, our Ethiopian translators and disciple makers, and for the people who get to hear about the love and grace of Jesus!
If you would like to join me financially, you may do so here.
I have set a personal goal of raising $2500 of the $3,950 total trip cost. Much of this cost is due on March 1st. These funds go toward transportation, food, lodging, translators, and supplies. Any funds raised above and beyond the trip cost will be directed toward the local disciplemakers training.
Thank you for being an influential part of my life, as well as the lives of others around the world! If you have any questions or would like to know more about the trip, please let me know.
