I'm adopting my daughter from Eastern Europe! 

I am so excited to share that after years of waiting, I'm finally able to pursue the journey of adopting my daughter with Down Syndrome from Eastern Europe. 

Adoption was always part of my plan, and with an unique set of circumstances in January 2020, the long dreamed of journey has become a reality. Several years ago I had the privilege of participating in orphanage work in a third world country. It was during that first trip, my heart fell in love the children awaiting forever families. With each passing trip though, leaving the country while knowing so many precious children were waiting (years) for families became heavier on my heart. 

What many don't know about adoption is how expensive it is to adopt a child; it is these large costs that make adoption seemingly impossible without the help and support of others. It truly does "take a village" in the journey of adoption, and it is with every kind donation that it can become possible to bring my daughter home. The donation goal on this campaign is large and ultimately what it will cost to complete the adoption process. This is not an amount I can simply raise on my own, so it is with great humility that I kindly welcome any donations; every dollar counts! All donations are tax deductible. 

The funds are used to pay agency fees, home-study fees, immigration fees, fees for her country, travel & living fees upon arrival to her country, medical fees, and so much more to fulfill all the specific, financial requirements. 

I hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the "village" that will forever play a key role in giving my little girl a family. I am beyond thankful for each and every one of you that is able to donate, pray, and support me as I continue on this equally challenging and beautiful journey. I very much look forward to the day when I can share our full story.
