Helping people is something I have always wanted to do with my life. Making a difference in someone’s life, no matter how small, is important to me. It is a major reason why I decided to go into the field of nursing. I am currently in my 3rd semester of nursing school at the Capstone College of Nursing at the University of Alabama. This summer I have the opportunity to go to Trujillo, Peru this summer to provide medical care to underserved areas as well as spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Peru. A group of 8 students from the Capstone College of Nursing as well as one of our clinical instructors will be going on this trip to help make up a total of 25 people who will be coming from all different states and organizations.
