Thank you for you interest in supporting me as I prepare to go on this trip during Spring Break of 2024 to serve children experiencing disability in Nicaragua! I am excited to partner with 99 Balloons on this trip and to be able to visit and support one of their global partners. During our time in Nicaragua we will be observing, learning, teaching, and providing physical therapy to children who have limited access to therapy at a local community center and in homes. The story of disability is often one of isolation and poverty, and we want to help change that as we support parents, local therapists, teachers, and community center staff.

99 Balloons' trip description:

Participants will be supporting 99 Balloons’ Global Partners in Nicaragua. In addition to experiencing the story of disability in Nicaragua, team members will provide physical therapy training for local physical therapists, direct care for kids with disabilities, and therapy training/equipping for parents and workers. The team will be working at a community center that serves children, parents, and families experiencing disability through therapy, parenting classes, home visits and special education support.
