We continue working in Somalia to improve human rights and education opportunities. Somalia is a country torn by war and struggling to recover from years of famine, war, unrest and violence. Unfortunately, the biggest victims are the women and children. It’s estimated there are over a million displaced people in the country right now, and the vast majority of these people struggle to meet the basic needs of survival, let alone to pursue education and livelihoods.
Some of the biggest needs right now are improving educational opportunities for the youth, and safety and care for women and children. We’ve started – but we are going to need a lot of help! If you’d like to help out, you can read more about our Safe House, feeding program and educational efforts at
www.lovedoes.org/somaliaWe’re incredibly grateful for your support as we begin this new venture! Somalia is a place with enormous needs, and the best we can do is to start somewhere and move forward. We’d be honored if you wanted to join us!
