LLU School of Nursing Botswana SUMMER 2017

Autumn Orozco- 

As part of my nursing school journey at Loma Linda University I have been privileged with  the opportunity to travel to Botswana, Africa as part of my Public Health Nursing course. During this experience I will use my nursing skills, knowledge, and passion for service to assist and enhance the optimal wellness of the community. 

The term "nurse" is also a synonym for "serve" or "minister to"; through this opportunity, I will graciously be able to perform those duties for a community in south-central Africa. I hope that my passion for helping people will be presented through the gracious, tender, and kind care I provide with the local nursing staff. 

This experience will allow me to work under and share the teaching's of the Lord, as he has inspired me to care for the sick and aid them back to health. 

This experience will be the first of many to serve those in need outside of the United States. I hope this opportunity will provide me with experiences to savor in my future nursing career as well as the chance to meet and work with extraordinary individuals. Any help for this special opportunity I have been blessed with would be greatly appreciated.
