I have had the privilege of working alongside Brother Dan Boingeanu, pastor of "Maranata" Baptist Church in Suceava several times over the past 2 decades. I was not planning to return this year; however, for the first time ever Brother Dan has specifically requested that a pediatrician join the team. Why? Because Suceava has been overwhelmed with Ukrainian refugees since the Russian invasion, and many of these refugees are children. Brother Dan and his church have already been working tirelessly with the refugees both in Suceava and across the border, providing food, lodging and other forms of support. In years past, believers that are also Romanian health care providers have volunteered their time to work with the church to host free medical clinics. This year, however, those providers are exhausted after working through the pandemic and now with the influx of refugees.
After recently hearing a pastor in the Middle East preach about using the gifts that God has given us to advance His Kingdom, I could not refuse this opportunity, this "call", to help in Romania. Would you be interested in supporting me in this effort?
