Bucaramanga is located in the eastern part of Colombia, not too far from the frontier with Venezuela. It is a fairly large city and the people are steeped in the traditions of the Catholic Church. They also are a people who are hungry for the truth of Scripture and who are deeply desirous of a close, personal relationship with the Lord, rather than with a distant religious institution. They are friendly, open and receptive to North Americans and, when they are presented with the message of a personal relationship with Christ Jesus through faith, and faith alone, they are quick to embrace it...and to pass it along to others. Our goal will be to present Christ, train the new believers how to lead their family and friends to Christ, and tp begin home Bible Study groups in the homes of the new believers.
