Promoting Health, Wholeness, and Community Partnership
Broaden your clinical perspective and experience the beauty of
China firsthand. Join an interdisciplinary team of students traveling to
Loma Linda University Health’s (LLUH) global campus in Hangzhou. You will
engage in hands-on service activities and bring compassion and collaboration to
LLUH's partner hospitals and universities across Hangzhou. You will take part
in a milestone academic celebration, honoring Hangzhou City University students
as they graduate with certificates in dental hygiene and respiratory therapy
through LLUH's joint International Institute for Health Sciences. Beyond
clinical outreach, you will learn about the roots of holistic healing while
engaging with the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital and museum.
A meaningful Sabbath together will offer time to connect and worship with
the local church community. You also will have time to explore Hangzhou’s
iconic West Lake while discovering a city where tradition and heritage meets
cutting-edge technology and innovation. The journey closes in
Beijing—China’s political and cultural capital—renowned for its imperial
landmarks, ancient architecture, and the Great Wall.
Through this international mission service experience, LLU students and faculty will have the opportunity to serve alongside local partners, gain valuable cross-cultural experience, and apply their knowledge in a global health setting. Guided by Loma Linda University’s commitment to service and whole-person care, the team will seek to foster meaningful relationships.
