Familyfest
in Long Beach, CA is a partnership between national Woman’s Missionary Union®, California
Woman’s Missionary Union, and Long Beach Harbor Southern Baptist Association.
FAMILYFEST Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel your Familyfest registration, the cancellation deadline with a partial refund is June 22, 2018. The refundable amount will be your registration fee less $50 per person registered. After June 22, 2018, no refunds will be given for cancellations.
We must have a minimum of 50 volunteers at each Familyfest. If we do not have the minimum number of volunteers registered at the conclusion of the early-bird registration deadline, the Familyfest will be cancelled. If you are planning to fly to Long Beach, you may want to wait until we have confirmed that we have reached the minimum number, before purchasing airline tickets as they are often non-refundable.
Those who have registered will receive a full refund shortly following the deadline. You will be contacted by phone and email to let you know of the cancellation. At that time, you can decide whether or not to continue to serve in the area in which the Familyfest was to occur.

Please note: As
long as your completed registration is submitted on or before the registration deadline,
we will honor the applicable rate.
Once you have
registered for the trip, you will have access to your account through our
registration system. We will put pertinent information regarding training etc.
on this page. We encourage you to begin this training as an individual or as a
team as soon as possible. Being spiritually, physically, and mentally prepared
for this missions experience is of vital importance.
Family
Familyfest is
designed with families in mind. Families will serve together. We are able to
provide a discounted rate for families. Families are those who are related to
one another, such as married couples, their children, grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, brothers, cousins, etc. You get the picture. We are not able to give
family discounts to those who are a “church” family.
Church Lodging
Church lodging will be available, on a first come first served basis. You have an option when registering to request church lodging. Keep in mind with church lodging that you will be sleeping on the floor, and your family will not be guaranteed a private room. Cost will be minimum for church lodging and more details will be made available closer to time.
Hotel Lodging
Volunteers are responsible for securing/paying for their own hotel lodging. There are multiple hotel options in the Long Beach area. The host church where we will have orientation and the closing celebration is located in the Lakewood Community. Each morning, we will have morning devotions before going to ministry sites, the exact location of where morning devotions will take place is being determined.
