I've only dreamt about mission trips and it's finally a reality! I'm excited to have an amazing opportunity to meet and change the lives of the local people that live along the Amazon River. The organization I partnered up with is SIMS(Students for International Mission Service) and they have successfully partnered with Missoes Noroeste SDA Brazil, a non-profit organization through the Adventist Conference in Manaus, Brazil. With this group, they have connected with local Brazilians and villagers by providing health fairs and health education. I'll have the privilege to help lead Vacation Bible School, provide health fairs, lead worship in the local villages, and so much more. This will be my first mission trip so if anyone has tips for a first-timer I would be glad to listen in! <3
